ÌýOn completion of the programme and depending on their specialization, students should:

Ìý•ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýBe familiar with the concepts, issues, and institutions that comprise international affairs, in the social, political, and economics realms

Ìý•ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýBe able to explain theories that contribute to understanding the nature of development in the international arena

Ìý•ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýBe familiar with the challenges associated with development in Sub-Saharan Africa

Ìý•ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýHave acquired basic knowledge and skills in diplomacy and foreign policy

Ìý•ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýBe familiar with the fundamental aspects of international law

ÌýEntry requirements

ÌýA.ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýGrade 12 Certificate with at least 5 credits in English and mathematics and three other subjects (or equivalent from outside Zambia)

ÌýB.ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýStudents holding a certificate or diploma in related disciplines may receive exemptions from some courses in the first-year programme

ÌýC.ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýAdvanced standing:ÌýÌýStudents who have obtained a Diploma in International Relations, Public Administration, Social Work, or Project Planning and Management from 91̽»¨ÊÓÆµ or an equivalent from another institution may enter the Bachelor’s Degree Programme in the second year
